Construction Logistics & Cyclist Safety

CLOCS          

Roadbridge have been registered with the Construction Logistics and Cyclist Safet (CLOCS) scheme in the United Kingdom. This scheme was developed following an independent review of the construction sector’s transport activities, when it was found that between 2008 and 2013, 55% of cyclist fatalities in London involved a heavy good vehicle.

Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS)

fors logo           The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations.  Roadbridge have received Bronze Accreditation wthin this scheme which confirms that an operator employs good practices and complies with the requirements laid out by the FORS Standard.

Roadbridge is a double winner in the RoSPA Awards 2016.  

This marks the first entries that Roadbridge have prepared for these awards, which are now in their 60th year and we have been informed that the Dersalloch Wind Farm in Scotland and the Langley Court Site Development project in Beckenham, England have both been awarded Silver Awards.

Belmullet Sewerage Scheme Commencement

Irish Water working in partnership with Mayo County Council, will commence works as part of the Belmullet Sewerage Scheme on Tuesday 12 July, 2016. The works will be carried out by Roadbridge and EPS Group on behalf of Irish Water. Irish Water expects the works to be completed within 18 months.

Corribdale Park, Oughterard

Oughterard's popular Corribdale Park is being extended with another kilometre of walking and cycling trails.

A combined investment from several local sponsors (including Roadbridge) has ensured a third phase of the Corribdale Park can be developed, which will also include the installation of ducting for street lights along the extended paths.

Roadbridge have enjoyed continued success at the 24th Annual NISO Awards, winning a Regional Award, as well as a Consisten High Achiever Award.  In addition to this, the Roadbridge team on the Corrib Onshore Pipeline Project have been awarded a Distinction on their first entry.

Galway Wind Park School Visits

During May and June 2015, the Roadbridge Environmental Team on the Galway Wind Park visited four local National Schools to discuss the project and the enviornmental issues such as Archaeology and Ecology.  Over 210 pupils attended these sessions.

A4 Night                      The A477 St. Clears to Red Roses Road Improvement Scheme has been officially opened by Transport Minister Edwina Hart.  This project has been completed six weeks ahead of schedule and within budget.
